Smoothie Saturday #5

When you're having one, two or even three smoothies a day, you may find yourself missing the sensation of chewing your food. It's actually quite important to get into the habit of "chewing" your smoothies, so you don't drink them too fast and to aid digestion.

When I first started this lifestyle I found that adding cooked tapioca pearls to my smoothies made me slow down, and both drink and chew the smoothie. 

So, whether you want to use this smoothie as a training method, or enjoy it as a fruity, vegan version of bubble tea, it's a delicious treat. 


1/3 Cup Homemade Coconut Milk (recipe coming soon)
150g Freshfields Berry Fast & Fruity (fresh or frozen berries if you prefer)
1 1/2 Cups Fresh Apple Juice
1/3 Cup Tapioca (cooking method here)


In a blender, add all the ingredients except the tapioca
Pulse and blend until smooth
Pour into a glass, then add the cooked tapioca

Makes 1 serve
